| Reactivation of areas of land |
| In the city quarter of Rheinhausen – west of the Rhine – the former Hohenbudberg marshalling yard was, with the help of the State Development Corporation of North Rhine-Westphalia (LEG NRW) made available for new functions.

Hohenbudberg business park has a total area of 34 hectares. Following the completion of the first construction phase and of the development road approximately 13 hectares of fully developed sites available for building are available for use for business purposes.
On location: The trading estate has good traffic links. The international airport in Düsseldorf is only a 20-minute car ride away. The A 57 motorway (Cologne – Netherlands) with the motorway/road junction Krefeld-Gartenstadt can be reached within five minutes. A further link via the L 473 highway (trunk road) is planned. Two bus lines provide the link with local public transport.
